Darren

Darren is the sweetest little boy who belongs to my niece Jenny. Jenny's marriage has recently broken up and Darren is shared between his Dad who lives 2 hours away and his Mom who now lives closer to her Mom and Dad. I don't know Darren very well but I wish I did. He is very lovable and I think he would like me if he had the chance to get to know me and my husband, but we only get to see him if we are invited for dinner to my sisters and he happens to be there. His mother would never bring him to visit us. When I tried to get together with them Jenny was busy doing something with her friend. I guess I will try again.

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day Mothers- how are you spending your mothers day?
Yesterday my daughter and her boyfriend came for dinner. My husband and I spent hours preparing for the dinner. Mike smoked ribs on the BBQ and I made salads. We also grilled fresh corn smothered with butter and garlic. They were both not very hungry. We could only eat so much. Needless to say we have lots of food left over.
Today we are going to my sisters to have a BBQ with my mother and her family. The weather has turned very cold today so I hope it warms up later on.
Hope you have a wonderful relaxing day and don't spend hours in the kitchen like I did. It's not suppose to be like that.

ladder

Walking through a field or meadow I came across this old wooden ladder placed against a tree. I can picture children trying to make a tree fort in the old pine tree.

Photomatix

I have just learned how to do HDR photos with Photomatix. As you can see by the watermark I am still trying out the program but have decided to purchase the Photomatix Pro.

Just Dandy

Dandelions

Recently a bylaw has been passed banning the use of herbicides and pesticides. This is the result. Each day I enjoy the beauty of the dandelion as look out into the fields surrounding the back of my house.  We live in an area that is developing quite quickly. This site may be gone soon.
